One of the things that makes Ocean Shores the most unique town on the Washington Coast is our 23 miles of freshwater canals and Duck Lake. Our waterways are perfect for exploring by kayak, canoe, stand-up paddle board, or boat. We have two boat launches located at North Bay Park and Chinook Park.

If you love fishing, Duck Lake offers opportunities to catch stocked Rainbow Trout, with some nice carryovers available. Additionally, Jumbo Rainbow Trout, reared through a cooperative project with the Lower Chehalis Basin Task Force and WDFW, averaging 4-6 pounds each, are planted in the lake. You can also catch black crappie, bluegill, largemouth bass, rainbow trout, and yellow perch. No boat? No problem! You can fish from the shoreline and park docks.

Boat Launches are available at the following locations:

  • North Bay Park

  • Chinook Park
